GAGGIANDRE
It was 1568 when Jacopo Sansovino had the idea of adding two imposing canopies to the Arsenale dock, an exemplary research exercise to shelter rowing galleys. Thus the Serenissima protected one of its most valuable assets, just as Astoria protects its landscape today through the creation of organic wines such as Gaggiandre, a fruity and floral Prosecco DOC. The grapes harvested from vineyards conducted under organic viticulture are softly pressed and the must fermented at a controlled temperature. The subsequent second fermentation is managed to preserve all the aromatic heritage and restore floral aromas, a pleasantly dry taste, ideal for an aperitif and with delicate dishes.
